Ever found yourself with a puncture miles from home, leaving you with a long walk and a trip to the local bikeshop? Well, by carrying the right tools, and learning the basics of bicycle maintenance, you could have been back on your way in no time.

Whether it's fixing a puncture or carrying out more serious maintenance on your bike, one of our informative courses will give you the knowledge and confidence to keep your bike in tip top condition. Not only does carrying out your own repairs save you money, it is also very satisfying.

- Learn the intricusies of wheel building
- Lace, build and true a set of wheels.
- Provide your own rim and hub and walk away with your own set of wheels, or,
use our practice components.
- Call in advance to discuss your componenet requirements if you would like to build your own wheels
- Calculate spoke lengths, and learn lacing patterns.
- Tea, coffee and biscuits supplied, but bring your own lunch.

- Wheel truing - essential for better braking.
- Brake adjustment for powerful, silent stopping.
- Adjusting hub bearings for maximum life and smooth running.
- Gear adjustment: including fitting new cables and fine tuning front and rear mechanisms.
- Bottom bracket and headset adjustment.
- Recommendations for routine bicycle servicing.

- Facing and prep of frame.
- Instalation of main bearings and how to choose parts and frame for differnet uses
- Frame materials strengths and weaknesses,
- Cable lengths, chainline, front derailleur types and positon, headset stack height diameter and type (intergrated or threaded ahead) -
- More detailed frame fitting.
- Rent a jig/stand and tools discounted
